The first-floor room became oppressively hot, lacking air conditioning and only a fan for relief. Noisy neighbors hosted weekend parties, resulting in disturbances late at night, and the thin walls let in outside noise, including street commotion and courtyard chatter.

The family room with a fridge and quite new bathroom, for example. Nearby a metro station.

Not particularly helpful staff!

I felt like being back in my university days and living in a dorm (although with better conditions). The location is excellent, very close to Unter Den Linden and Brandenburger Tor, with very good transport connections to different parts of the city. The staff was very helpful, especially as regards helping me actually getting to the hotel from the airport or using the different services available.

It might be helpful if the reception staff could have longer working hours (or work in alternate shifts) than is the situation currently. I was in a situation where I had to leave early in the morning on both days I stayed there, while arriving after the reception was closed which made it quite difficult to actually pay my bill :).

The multilingual women who run this lovely, quiet hotel on a leafy residential street are gracious, kind and helpful. The location is superb (an easy 10 minute walk north to Brandenburg Gate or south to Potsdammerplatz) with bike rentals and shopping on Wilhelmstrasse a block away. Sunny breakfast room, WiFi, a rear garden/playground view from my comfortable suite, the casual low-key atmosphere of a women's hotel, absolute cleanliness, plus economical rates--Intermezzo was a perfect week-long place of residence for this older American tourist. I'd like very much to stay there again if I re-visit the fascinating city of Berlin.

Not a single negative aspect (though one must adjust to being on the ground floor with occasional passersby).

Had a great stay! The room was warm and comfy, perfect for a good night's sleep, and the shower had fantastic water pressure. Just a note, a kettle would have been nice.

A very nice hotel; the location is great - 3 minutes walk to the Mohrenstrasse station. Reichstag, Unter den Linden, Checkpoint Charlie - everything is pretty close to the hotel, so you can get there without any transport. Also I liked very much the atmosphere of the hotel - very homey and comfortable.

The only thing I can think about is that there was no hot food at breakfast.

Great location, spacious rooms

A safe, a sofa bed, and central heating available in the family room. Very clean bed, a quite new bathroom. Unbeatable central location, short walk to Mall of Berlin, Brandenburg Gate, Holocaust Museum, restaurants and the U-Bahn and major tourist attractions. Situated only 1 km from Checkpoint Charlie.

I chose the hotel for its central location but was surprised and pleased as to how quiet it was. My room was lovely and felt very welcoming and homely. I would recommend it to any lady who asked. The staff were also very accomodating of my requests, which made my stay a lot less stressful and I appreciated that.

Consider bringing a portable fan during warmer months, as the room can become quite hot without air conditioning.

The room is cosy and just like home. The pillow is pluffy. The lady is hospital and helps us a lot. She sent me the address and doorcode before i came. It is a great choice for a lady.

wifi is not in the room.

An excellent small hotel, ideally located right in the centre of Berlin (Mitte) either within walkable distance of many of the major tourist attractions or to those places more distant then easily accesible by excellent cheap public transport. Simply furnished but very comfortable rooms and optional good value breakfast available too. Highly recommended.
